Requirements for Becoming a Member of ADETI

In accordance with Title III, article 7 of ADETI's Corporate bylaws:

ADETI members are defined as:

  • Entities that subscribe the present legal document.

  • Those entities or persons, which have been admitted as such by the powers that be, after meeting the requirements established in this document as well as any additional requirements set by the Associates or the Executive Committee.

It is the decision of the Executive Committee to admit into ADETI, large Tourism companies, as well as Real Estate Agencies previously approved by ADETI as zones of development.

Potential members should at minimum meet the following requirements:

  • Legally registered company authorized to operate in Dominican Republic

  • More than 5 years in operation, over US$2 million in capital.

  • A history of tourism real estate development (in the country or elsewhere) that meets with the philopsohy and standard of quality required by ADETI

  • Developing land in excess of 500,000 square meters or invest at least US$50 million

  • Offer complementary activities such as golf and/or marinas.

A representative on behalf of Real Estate Agencies will be part of the Executive Committee

The admission of new members requires a formal application and approval by at least 70% of the Executive Commitee.

The voting to admit new members will be secret.
